
Terms and Conditions for Weddings and Other Services
Weddings

Payments for weddings will be taken separately from accommodation costs. Weddings at the castle are to be thought of as an extra activity during your stay and not as part of a package. Occasionally, for the sake of simplicity, we will give a quote which combines the cost of accommodation and the cost of a wedding.

Payments for wedding costs will become due 3 calendar months before the wedding day. Any payments made for weddings are non-refundable.

Day Hire
​
The cost of day hire of the building will be taken separately from any extra costs.

Payments for day hire follow our terms and conditions for accommodation-
​
A 25% down payment is required immediately upon booking. For the avoidance of doubt, no bookings will be formalised until such deposit is received and confirmed back to you.
The balance of funds becomes due 30 days before your stay and an email notice will be served as a reminder. If this is not paid in time the management will assume the booking is cancelled and reserve the right to re-advertise the property for those dates.
The deposit may be paid by card payment or bank transfer (if opting for offline payment).
Other Services or Activities

We distinguish strictly between activities or services we provide you with directly and activities or services we merely inform you about. We are not liable for monies paid or poor service where money is paid directly from the guest to a third party. In such instances any issues you have should be taken up with the third party service provider.

Where we agree to provide you with a service (such as housekeeping) directly, payments are required 30 days before your arrival-
Payment for activities becomes due 30 days before your stay and an email notice will be served as a reminder. If this is not paid in time the management will assume the activity or service is cancelled.
Cancellation
Down payments are refundable up to 45 days prior to your stay save that any processing fees we are obliged to pay will be deducted from the amount returned to you. The balance of funds becomes due 30 days before your first night in the castle. We will offer a 50% refund of monies held up to fourteen days prior to your stay minus processing fees if you wish to cancel. Thereafter we will not be able to offer any refund except in exceptional circumstances such as Scottish Government mandated covid lockdowns or other unmitigated situations. Any processing fees that we incur as a result of taking your booking may be deducted from the amount that we refund to you. If we are unable to provide a service that we have said we will deliver, all monies paid for said activity or service shall be returned to the guest.
