Historical Re-enactment

Sit down with a Jacobite for the evening and let her regale you with tales of the march on London. Watch a clash of arms as knights duel in the lists before lairds and ladies. Receive a demonstration of surgical techniques practiced in the 16th century. A wide variety of historical themes and activities are possible at Lickleyhead Castle!

Bagpiper

The mist rolls in; the haunting and beautiful sound of bagpipes greets you as you approach the castle. Nothing else says 'Welcome to Scotland' quite so well.

Mini Highland Games

The mini-highland games is just like the real highland games, only smaller! This is a friendly competition that will test your brawn, balance and technique. A variety of events are included. Minimum 5 people.

E-bikes

Aberdeenshire is a gorgeous green county of rolling hills and pastures. Biking along it's roads and tracks is a fantastic way to view the countryside.

Whisky Tasting

This course is offered by a whisky expert. Enjoy a curated range of whisky and learn about the craft that goes into producing the 'water of life.'

Falconry Display

Watch as these majestic animals soar around the turrets of Lickleyhead Castle. This is a once in a lifetime experience for you or someone special in your life.

Bouncy Castle

A great choice for kids parties or for the young at heart. Bounce the day away on a selection of inflatables.

Archery

Become Scotland's answer to Robin Hood. Archery course for ages 8~80. Shoot at stumps/targets with a recurve bow. All equipment provided. Minimum 3 participants.

Air Rifle Shooting

Do you want to prove that you have the steadiest hand and the sharpest eye? Here's your chance. Air rifle target practice shooting for ages 8 up. All equipment provided. Minimum 3 participants.

Egg Hunt

The organiser will lay a trail of clues through the woods to help you find the location of the hidden prizes.

The Turncoats

'The Turncoats' is an intense 3 day psychological campaign involving deceit, problem solving, team building and detective skills for between 15 and 18 players. This game is available to those staying in the whole of Lickleyhead Castle between April and October.
